Effects of Different Tillage Intensities on Physicochemical and Microbial Properties of a Eutric Fluvisol Soil

The physicochemical and microbial properties of soil under long-term monoculture winter wheat were studied to assess the effects two tillage systems different intensities: reduced (RT) conventional (CT). research was carried out on an 18-year-old experimental field at Grabów (eastern Poland) between 2018 2020. RT (ploughless) CT (mouldboard ploughing) with machine operating depths up 10 25 cm, respectively, used. analysed parameters as follows: texture, pH, readily dispersible clay content (RDC), organic matter (SOM), carbon from particulate (POM-C), hot- cold-water-extractable (HWEC, CWEC) nitrogen (HWEN, CWEN), basal respiration (SBR), biomass (MBC) (MBN), nitrification potential (NP), dehydrogenases (DEH), acid (ACP) alkaline (ALP) phosphatases activities. Several single quality indices, including: metabolic (qCO2) (MicQ) quotients, enzymatic pH level indicator (EpHI), stratification ratio (SR), index (MP) calculated. use resulted in increased SOM and, therefore, decreased RDC values stability, POM-C, HWEC, CWEC, HWEN, CWEN, MBC, MBN relation CT.
